The Elise Debrief
Sharing travels, hobbies, experiences, and lessons I’ve learned along the way.

Travel
I’ve been traveling as long as I can remember and it’s one of my favorite pastimes. Unfortunately it’s one of the hardest to execute between travel logistics, itineraries, and budgets. I want to share not only some of the amazing places I’ve been, but tips and tricks I have as well. I hope to make travel more accessible because it’s so important to experience and learn from other cultures. Check out my different pages on the places I’ve been!
Colorado
I’m from Colorado, my family is from Colorado, and it will always be my true home. I spend a lot of time in the mountains, exploring different trails, towns, and views. Being outdoors is such a calming experience, but sometimes it can still be overwhelming to enter such a vast and unknown space. I want to share some of my favorite mountain places as well as ways to safely explore this beautiful land.

Golf
I learned to golf in Wisconsin from my grandpa before joining the high school team, and eventually the club college team as one of two women. My game favors tight, accurate shots and I love the holes that keep you on your toes. My ideal layout would be a mix of desert and mountain features, and I enjoy taking my clubs on the road. Follow along as I chase the fairways and share the best of them.

About Me
Hello! I’m Elise and I’m an engineer by day, adventurer by night. I have a revolving door of hobbies and not enough time for all of them. I grew up in Denver, went to school in Boulder, and am now back in Denver.
Mountains are my happy place and you can often catch me hiking or scrambling above the trees. In winter, I ski the blacks, bumps, and bowls – anything that will keep me away from the crowds and skiing the pow. When I’m not in the Colorado mountains, I can be found traveling elsewhere. Traveling is a big part of my life and I love experiencing other cultures, foods, and activities.
In addition to adventuring, I have some tamer hobbies. I grew up wakeboarding in the midwest and love a good lake day. I’m an avid golfer and play any chance I can. Mountain and dessert courses are my favorite and I enjoy elevated tees and fast greens. I’m also a huge pickleball player and play both APP and PPA tours. I’m dabbling in pro but don’t believe in giving up my other hobbies. I actually think that makes me a stronger player – no risk of burning out and a rotating lienup of cross training. If there’s any free time left, I love puzzles, reading, ceramics, sports, and most of all, my friends.
I started this blog to share some of the tips and tricks I’ve learned through managing my fun with a full time job. I want my experiences to help others and hope I can help foster the adventure seeker in all of us!
